Power Tune-Up to Manage Battery & Data consumption

Manage Battery & Data consumption on Android

Manage Battery

Power Tune-Up enables you to manage and optimize the battery consumption of your Android handset. The app features a large amount of useful tools to get the most out of your battery. From time to time we pretty much all run out of battery at some point in our lives with smartphones, so it’s good that there are apps available to help us avoid that situation.

The Best of App

Manage and optimize the battery consumption!

Multiplicity of different functions!

Perfect user interface!

Easy to understand and implement!

The Worst of App

When optimizing there perhaps enough information will be unavailable that tells you exactly what’s being done, and there is no simple path back.

It tells you there is cache to clean when there is not.

Save Battery

Battery saver

In the above part of the screen you have a toggle to switch to battery saver mode. This is a pre-set configuration to use the battery in the best way. It removes practically everything it can to preserve power. This is however, uncompromisable, but I hope it would at least explain what it removes. In a nutshell, your device goes almost dark with no Wi-Fi, without data, 15 second timeout, etc.

Seesmic Vs TweetDeck ,Social Media and Twitter

Seesmic and TweetDeck are the leading Tweeter supportive applications built in all history. They provide the amazing management power to social media and they can be considered as the tools of the trade in Social Media. So what’s the best? TweetDeck or Seesmic, Both of them has the best and the worst

The Best In Seesmic:

  • The supporting many other networks, Specially Formspring and Tumblr.
  • Separate Decks, Seesmic supports separate decks you can use to arrange streams according to lists and many more. This function is definitely unavailable in TweetDeck when you get addicted to add many streams.

SMS Popup

On Android phones, when a novel message is received, a notification shows in the sliding panel showing the user the number and contents of the new message. While this is a useful way of displaying the message, it does not give you the instantaneous of the iPhone’s pop-up notifications. Instead, you have to move the panel down, click on the message, wait for the Messaging app to launch, and then type in your reply. There are a number of apps in the Android market that help to abbreviate this process by displaying the SMS as soon as it appears and enabling you to immediately respond to it. SMS Popup is one of them.

  • Disabling Default Notifications

In order to prevent conflicting notifications it is cautious to disable Android’s default notifications. To do this launch the Messaging app, click Menu>Settings and uncheck “Notification”. This will terminate all SMS notifications, so you must re-enable this if you would like the default Messaging app to handle all your notifications.

The beauty of SMS Popup is that it can be used only for notification purposes, while at the same time you can use your default messaging app to reply to new messages. Simply be sure that your standard text messaging app has notifications enabled and SMS Popup does not mark messages as read or delete them. This app is a great example of what makes the Android platform so fulfilling many functions; it fills a very small gap created by a lack of functionality in the Android OS default Messaging app.

FeedR Vs. gReader Vs. NewsRob

FeedR

FeedR enables you to view you feeds by category. Even better, you can color code your categories so that you can find the news that you need to read fast. You have the option to connect with your Google Reader account, but you can also use the app without it. Some extra features are the ability to easily share the news that you read, ability to set the app on your homescreen as a widget and the ability to make a shortcut to an RSS feed on your homescreen. However, FeedR misses things, such as the option to view all of your feeds at the same time and there is that dull UI. The newest version requires Android 2.0 or newer.

gReader

gReader is an RSS feed client that enablesyou to view your feeds by site, or view the whole at the same time. What I like about gReader is its simplicity. The UI is very straight forward and fun to see. The app syncs with your Google Reader account, and does so in a very fastway . With that being said, there are a few extra features, such as the ability to search for articles. gReader will most likely appeal to people who want their news, and want it fast, with no interruptions. That being said, there is the occasional gripe with gReader. The fact that you can seek for articles from a site, but can not search for a site to add to your news list was a turn off.

NewsRob

The most recent RSS feed client that we have is NewsRob. NewsRob is a very sleek app that brings you your news from your Google Reader account. The UI is very pleasant to look at, no extra features are to be used. You can sync to you Google Reader account, and do the expected, like mark as read. You can also view the whole of your feeds at once, which is a nice feature that is not available in other apps. As far as getting your news, it does it at the normal speed. Nothing special, but also not bad.
